Well we can disagree about the state of the fetus without hating each other. I think, as I said before, some of my opinions have been formed by knowing people that have abused abortions.
I have friends who are so passionate on both sides of this issue that they can scare me at times.
So I'm off to study a bit. There are other people who I don't impress with my intellect and the big problem is that they are professors.

Well Aztec I was also up late and fried from studying. So I wasn't my normal "don't give a crap" self either. I know it's difficult to convey a tone of the voice or a smile when posting. What I've told people on other boards is that I am seldom serious and to take anything I post as a random thought and not as something absolute. Usually I'm just a smartass.

let me make this very clear from the get go , i am neither for or against the use of marijuana .
but it has just occurred to me that many of my life long friends have either had periods in there life where they have or continue to smoke it .
what if anything has your experience with pot taught you either about yourself or someone you know , was it a positive or negative infuence .

I have tried it. But this girl has a beer and she's had enough. So I'm a cheap date. I don't like smoking anything. I'm very active and enjoy riding my mountain bike. My friends that smoke don't enjoy riding a bike, at least not with me.
We have a little rule in our apartment here. No smoking indoors regardless of what you smoke. Today one of the girls broke the rule so now everything smells like pot. It's laundry night thanks to her.

avishai my dad has always told me to never be so certain that someone that I dislike (or vice versa) won't become my friend. It has happened a couple of times already. I just have doubts that I'll make many real world friends here and that's what I meant by my comment directed towards Aztec.
It just surprises me how so many people here can make what I perceive to be unkind comments towards near strangers. I hope I can refrain from doing that in the future. If I find myself acting in a manner here which I personally don't approve of then I would leave. I don't need more bad habits.

We sure have a lot of labels being thrown around here. So Tink and I disagree more than we agree on this issue. But I think she's great and would make a super friend in the real world. She is like many of the friends I have. They disagree with me but do it respectfully. I don't call them baby butchers and they don't call me names either. What's so hard about disagreeing without throwing around all these labels?
Personally anyone who sees this issue as black and white isn't thinking through the entire issue in my book.
Now I admit last night I tried to emulate Aztec by giving an off handed insult as she has thrown me by referring to her as an embittered person. That wasn't right and it goes against the way I feel. I was told that I was young, naive, didn't get it and something else that I forget now. So I lashed back a bit and I regret doing that. So Aztec although I know you honestly feel you weren't insulting me I do apologize for insulting you. But I was insulted and I do not believe I'm the type of person that looks to be insulted. Perhaps you don't recall what it's like to be 20 and striving to do something useful with your life. I have two years of college yet before I can even get a real job.
Oh yeah I remember how, I also had the makings of a real drama queen.
